The 2011 Three Counties Open Show was held on Sunday 14th August at Pinewood Park, Crowthorne. A fine sunny morning promised well and after an early set up the hall was ready for exhibitors and their entries.
The benches gradually filled and by the time judging started there were entries in every class. With close to 200 entries in 34 classes the judges were kept busy and the results were steadily recorded.
As is the custom at Association of Aquarists shows visitors continued to view the exhibits during judging, the judges even sparing time to answer enquiries where possible.
The quality of exhibits always shows through and Best in Show was awarded to the Liosomadoras Oncinus owned by Steve and Debbie Edwards. Second was the Erythrinus erythrinus and third a Corydoras pulcher, both fish benched by John Egan. The honours all taken by Port Talbot members.
The Superbowl results followed suit the day’s competition being won by Steve and Debbie Edwards with 67 points, John Egan took second place with 51 points and Roy Chapman managed a good third with 42 points.
Thanks to the exhibitors for their hard work, the judging team for their efforts and the show team for their usual perseverance.
