LOTS AT KEMPSHOTT

The morning of Sunday 21st November saw an almost full Kempshott Village Hall for the joint A of A and SCCRS Auction. This event has grown in popularity in recent years and the number of lots and bidders has been steadily increasing. This year there were over 400 lots and a wide variety of items coming under Chris’s hammer or to be more precise under the gavel. With so many lots to clear Chris wasted no time and the early lots were quickly auctioned to brisk bidding – these including freshwater shrimp species, several lots of ancistrus and bags of water lettuce. Most lots received good attention and this pattern continued right through the afternoon. With only one short tea break it was a busy afternoon and the auction team, runners and bidders had plenty of exercise both mental and physical! Most lots found new homes and there were some excellent bargains to be had. Judging by the smiles most of those bargains found new homes.

Finally a big thank you is owed to the auction team and the catering department for their sternian work throughout the day. Commiserations to those who missed the event but you were invited.
